3rd – 9th August 2019

The area of exploration lies south of Lake Brienz between Giessbach and the ridge of the Schwabhorn, which forms the border to the Sägistal. The area is mainly at an altitude between 1800 and 2200 m a.s.l.

Our base is a cottage at about 1900 m a.s.l. The costs per night are CHF 18, mattresses and pillows are available in the dormitory. Water is available and there is a dry toilet. No bivouac allowed in the cave. Walking distance from the exploration area to the cottage approx. 2 hours (one-way). So cave ABC and SRT (safe!), good hiking boots and rain gear are required. You also need to bring your sleeping bag, cooker and food (self-catering, no group shopping).

The participants will be involved in ongoing work (research tours and surface prospection).

The number of participants in the camp is limited to 3 – 4 persons due to limited space in the cottage. Travel details to the spot will be communicated after registration.
